Muhammad Aris Maulana, an Informatics student from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro (Class of 2023), participated in the PSU-AUN Summer Camp 2026 hosted by Prince of Songkla University under the theme “Taste of Southern Thailand — Connecting Cultures through Gastronomy” from 5–18 May 2026 in Hat Yai and Pattani, Thailand. The program was organized as part of the ASEAN University Network activities, bringing together students from various ASEAN universities to explore gastronomy, culture, sustainability, and innovation.

Throughout the program, participants joined lectures, workshops, field studies, and community-based learning activities focused on Southern Thailand’s multicultural identity and local wisdom. Activities included visits to Songkhla Old Town, Pattani Cultural Institute, local MSMEs, and sustainability-centered learning experiences related to food innovation and community development.

One of the highlights of the program was the innovation challenge and group presentation session, where Aris and his team won 1st Place for developing an innovative solution aimed at improving and empowering MSMEs in Thailand through a creative and sustainable approach. The achievement reflected Aris’ ability to collaborate internationally while integrating technology and community-based innovation.

Through this program, Aris gained valuable experience in leadership, intercultural communication, and international collaboration while expanding academic and professional networks across ASEAN countries.
